reQall for iPhone →
This looks like a potentially useful addition to my GTD armoury - an iPhone app that takes voice notes and sends reminders. If they have an API as well, double-win. And it’s free at the moment, so definitely worth a try. (via Mashable)
50 Useful Design Tools For Beautiful Web... →
I thought this was going to be another dull regurgitation of found links by Smashing Magazine, but there’s a surprising number of new resources detailed here that may be of use in the future.
A Simple Script to Upgrade ExpressionEngine →
More EE-related awesomeness, this time from Ryan Irelan. Upgrading via bash script would work perfectly when combined with <a href=”http://v3.thewatchmakerproject.com/journal/476/how-to-use-subversion-to-manage-a-live-site”>releasing using Subversion</a>.
Errorlytics: A More Intelligent Way to Handle 404... →
This sounds like it would make an awesome ExpressionEngine module. But then everything looks like that to me these days…
Fluid 960 Grid System →
Sweet. I thought about doing this when Nathan originally released his grid system, but this is a far better job than I would have done. (I still probably won’t use it, though.)
Doug Bowman redesigns stopdesign →
Very nice, if a little similar to Simplebits for my taste.
Every time I eat a sun-dried tomato I die a little... →
I rate Paul as one of the top three writers on the web - or, at least, the web that I regularly read. (The other two are Alison Headley and Ethan Marcotte.)
50 Extremely Useful PHP Tools →
Brilliantly timely, particularly the PDF and Excel manipulation libraries, which I will be needing shortly on a custom ExpressionEngine project.
John August working on a Preacher script →
More great news. A friend got me into Preacher years ago (the same friend that gave me Watchmen to read, so thanks Steve!) and I highly recommend you check it out.
Two more seasons of Mad Men →
Awesome news. I got into Mad Men mostly through the ravings of Chris Fahey, but since my wife isn’t interested in watching it I’ve been slowly working my way through Season One on train journeys, on iPhone.
The country's new robots.txt file →
IE7 CSS Selectors: How they fail →
Interesting - I never knew that IE7 supported :first-child but not :last-child. I always tend to use the latter to do things like remove borders from the last navigation element - maybe I should switch. (via Phil Thomson)
Make sure firebug console debug doesn't break... →
I’m terrible for leaving console.log() commands in my code when releasing it, but as I’m usually pretty careful about testing in IE I (almost always) notice before putting code live.

Structure Module for ExpressionEngine →
This looks like a great module for EE, allowing you (and your client) to manage the page hierarchy of your site in the way that you imagine it in your head. (via Nathan Pitman)
Generating PDF files using CodeIgniter →
Bookmarked for a project I’ll be working on soon. (The project is actually an ExpressionEngine one, but a CodeIgniter library should be just the job.)
Lie of omission →
Heh heh heh…
Bruce Lawson's HTML5 test →
Dammit - now I want to go back and re-code my site to use HTML5 structural elements instead.
‘Wherefore’ does not mean where →
John August on modern misinterpretations of Romeo and Juliet’s most famous line.
The Hit List →
A new to-do application from The Potion Factory (via @knight777). Looks excellent, just the way I work, but I’m not sure I want to spend $50 on it.
Patterrific.com | Passion for Pattern →
Via @lealea, this site seems to be a combination of pattern downloads and links/reviews of other pattern-related sites.
Expression Engine images in RSS feed →
This was one of the bugs in my extensive list - my RSS feeds were unformatted. NetNewsWire at least showed line-breaks; Google Reader was just a block of unbroken text.
Thanks to Marek’s succint write-up, hopefully thisis now fixed. I agree with him, though - why isn’t this in the default EE template?

Consuming "My Favourite Wife" →
Twitter Charts →
Sweet Yahoo! Pipes and Google Charts Twitter mashup showing tweet distribution and frequency. I seem to tweet more in the mornings; there’s a hotspot just before lunch on a Friday, presumably due to free lunch excitement and ensuing replies from jealous tweople.
Stay in Shape with Countdowns →
One of my new year resolutions is to exercise more, but this sounds just a little too extreme for me right now. Plus an uninterrupted 20 minutes is a little far-fetched with three small children in the house…

A Better 404 - Redux →
Jonathan Hollin on improving your 404 page by interrogating the referrer and suggesting possible matches for search queries.
Co-op →
Another Twitter clone aimed at in-house teams. I’ve been trying to get my co-workers interested in Twitter, but it’s difficult to explain the benefits of ambient intimacy in an office environment. ;)
New Watchmen footage →
Some new clips from the hopefully upcoming Watchmen movie, and Zack Snyder talking a little about the actors and the film.
